There are two kinds of workouts, the one where you roll out of bed for some fasted cardio at your home gym or outdoors. Then there’s the one that you put a little extra time you put into getting ready for because you know you will show up more confidently and have a better workout as a result.
This could look like doing your hair, makeup, buying a new workout outfit in order to feel more put together. When you feel good about how you look, you carry that energy over into your workout, you show up with more focus and drive. In addition to this it’s not about vanity, it’s about showing up for you and owning your space the way that makes you feel your very best.

This was something I used to stress in the past and I thought I needed to restrict all of the juicy or savory foods I really wanted to indulge in. The thing is there’s no need to restrict yourself 100%. This is where the 80/20 rule comes into play. You can still incorporate the foods you enjoy 20% of the time. The rest of the time focus on whole, healthy, nutritious foods that will fuel your day in the best way possible. You have one life you should enjoy it to the fullest, including which delicious foods you get to devour.

Let’s hit the squat rack and build that lower half of the body. I like to start with more reps and lower light then raise the bar a bit (pun intended) and end with higher weight and less reps. Feel the burn and don’t be afraid to raise the weight, the sky is the limit.

Working out 🏋️♀️ on a cruise ship 🚢 never felt so fun. It puts a little extra pep in your step if you know what I mean. Get ready to take your energy level to new heights with an added workout of the day aka WOD on the waves style workout. Today I incorporated a little hiit session on the elliptical for cardio along with training legs with some free weights and machines they had on board. Do you workout on vacation?

Strutting around this beautiful mall was such a nice treat to the day as I got my steps in. It’s the best way to stay on your toes while simultaneously getting that cardio in. After all of that I was starving and ended the night with a poke salad and poke nachos. You can say I was in a delighted mood for some light bites.
