However, when we begin to love and care for the other deeply, the fear of loss becomes more apparent, and the playfulness is replaced with seriousness and resistance. I notice myself doing this as well, and it’s paradoxical because the tighter we grip onto something, the farther it becomes from our heart. It is playfulness in relationships that builds true strength and fans the flames of passion over time.
