🌈 I’ve been getting all my new paintings uploaded to my website gallery and shop. chawilde.com I’m starting to sell prints and later this month I’m selling an entire collection of originals. 🌻 Can u believe it… I’m still giggling to myself about the day back in 2018 when I swore I would never sell my paintings. It seemed crazy and uninteresting. But then I tasted the challenge and then I experienced the fun deep connection with other humans that comes from handing off a cherished creation to be cherished by a new heart. 💋

The vision is to create highly textured lumpy bumpy mountains of paint and then spray paint from low angles to create 3D depth. To drizzle and drop paint so it splashed and plops into random patterns. Everyday I add one layer of thick acrylic paint and one layer of spray paint. Just these two layers each day. Within a week or so each painting is complete. The entire collection will be up for sale next month! As always, you guys will have first dibs. I’m documenting the whole process. late night painting 🌻 preparing the canvas (plywood) in simple white gesso as a base coat so tomorrow morning I can wake up and splash rainbows all over it! 🌈🫶🏼 I am so used to painting naked that it’s a little weird to wear these white overalls lol I’m excited for the day when they are naturally covered, speckled, in colorful paint 🫶🏼

Sometimes, I’m so limber I can relax in this position for many minutes, sometimes the entire length of a tv show or a chapter in a book. Stretching actually becomes a more comfortable way of being than sitting in a chair. I prefer it. I learned this from my mother. We would watch movies together at night and stretch like this and so stretching also becomes a social pleasure. Do you have a partner to stretch with? And activity you could enjoy while stretching? 😘

I wanted pretty pictures of myself playing piano. 🍍 I've invested so many hours of my life with this instrument. I've cried on it, taken drugs with it, pushed through painful boredom and discipline training with it, I've carried it up and down stairs and onto stages, I've written so many songs on it that have touched people so deeply all around the world. It has been a healing tool, a friend, a little land of imagination and a toy for the parts of myself who love to create freely. I've learned to lose track of time and reality here on these keys. Her name is Josephine. These are some of my favorite photos from the shoot I did this week with Nellie in my studio. + 30min behind the scenes raw video footage 😘✌ After taking these photos, I got naked and cuddled with my guitar and piano...literally. Google "Internal Family Systems" to learn more. --- Creating songs at the piano and the microphone is one of the most effective ways to give my parts voice, especially my younger parts. -- Today, I'm allowing a part of me who is in her mid-twenties to take the spotlight and sing her feels around the rush of falling in love and she is longing for that thrill again. She is worried of losing love or not being desired anymore. Obviously, she is loveable and she just needs to be seen and heard so we can get her the help she needs. First we find parts and let them tell us everything they're feeling and then we show her how we can help bring her out of the past and into a more fulfilled present. -- Most of my songs are about love and freedom. I'm exploring how love evolves and feels different over years of a relationship. What does she really mean when she says "she wants to fall in love?" -- Instead of trying to write something perfectly inspiring and mature, I often let my younger parts just take the microphone and sing out all their youn g, cheesy, cringy, pain and fantasy. Once I have that down, then I can start sculpting the song into something more mature or enlightened. But step one of creativity is freedom of expression. Just let it flow. Embrace whatever comes out naturally as it is. Just like people.
